The dry leaves of Guihua Hong have intense sweet, fruity, and floral aromatics because of the inclusion of real osmanthus flowers (guihua). The tea itself is a full-bodied, slightly roasted black tea from northern Fujian. It brews deep orange with an aroma that is thick with mulled wine spice and flowers. While it may start off fairly strong, there is a softer sweet backbone that builds with each infusion, giving it a lot of endurance that can really shine in a gong fu session.
