The Harashima family harvests this shincha on the 88th day of spring in the lunar calendar, considered a fortuitous day. This is a blend of the best early harvest leaves from multiple cultivars grown in the beautiful mountains of Yame village. 
 
Chiyonoen Tea Farm is a small tea garden operated by a husband and wife team. Their 3rd generation farm specializes in high grade mountain-grown sencha and gyokuro.
